Anointing Oil, what is it and why was it used?!!

Read Exodus 30:22-33.

Hello everyone and happy #WitnessWednesday and #WisdomWednesday! Today, we want to uncover the use of anointing oil in the scriptures. We have come to know what we call "anointing oil" for its use in prayer and worship services. I still currently use "anointing oil" myself, out of habit and tradition, so this is NOT me pointing fingers, but we are (and should be) learning together. Now, i put anointing oil in parentheses because we are actually NOT using anointing oil.
According to God in Exodus 30:22-33, anointing oil had a specific formula for specific purposes ONLY. For anointing oil to be used in the purposes of worship, it must have been pure olive oil mixed with myrrh, cinnamon, cane and cassia. This is what God considered to be a precise formulation fit for consecration of the people and possessions of the temple. Nothing else was to be used but this specific formulation for anointing purposes only or else it would result in death. Consecration was the purpose of anointing oil. Consecration is when a person, place or thing is designated
(by anointing it) for God's sole use and purpose. Anointing oil was given to the people of Israel in the Old Testament. No such formula was given to the Church because we are all anointed with the seal of the Holy Spirit, and we are all declared holy by the Blood of Jesus. The purposes of anointing with oil were no longer required after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ enacted the New Covenant. The things of old: sacrifices, blood of animals, tithes, anointing oil etc. has all passed away and been fulfilled by Christ. That's why we do not see these things continuing to be taught in the New Testament. We must put our own traditions aside, as difficult as it may be, and accept what scripture teaches. This is what disciples do.
