Exodus 4:10-12 (NLT)
10 But Moses pleaded with the Lord, “O Lord, I’m not very good with words. I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.”
11 Then the Lord asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the Lord? 12 Now go! I will be with you as you speak, and I will instruct you in what to say.”

Hello everyone and happy #WitnessWednesday!! Today, our text peers into a moment of insecurity in the life of Moses. God is directing him in what he needs to do to set His people free but Moses keeps finding excuses. He tells God about whatever speech impediment he had in hopes of getting out of the big task ahead. Do you do that sometimes?

I know I have. When I first started preaching and even now, i have problems getting whats in my brain out of my mouth without sounding totally ridiculous. Public speaking is definitely not my strong suit. Couple that with the amount of time between my dialysis treatments, and i could really be a hard listen. But I try not to let that stop me from doing what God has called me to do. Not because I think i'm great at it, but because there is a job that needs to be done and somebody's got to do it. God does not often use the people that are the best looking, most well-spoken, or most affluent. God tends to use the "little guy." He uses those who cannot (rightfully) seek the glory for themselves. He uses the worst of us for the best of His work. So, even if your not the best at anything, God can still use you mightily if you're willing to give Him the best of what you do have. Do your best with what you got and God will elevate your efforts.

I thank GOD for the lesson this morning, l to allow my insecurities to give me an excuse at times to get out of what GOD called me to do, but l thank HIM for the loving way HE chastens me that causes me to go forward. Where l give up on myself, HE encourages me to not be afraid for HE is with me.❤️ thank you for the WORD
